Kevin Slawin

Chief Executive Officer
Kevin joined Trustmark’s board of directors in 2016 and became President and Chief Executive Officer in 2018.
 
He has more than 30 years of financial services experience across a number of executive roles. Before joining Trustmark, Kevin advised private equity and hedge funds on insurance industry-related acquisitions and investments. Within the industry, he spent 14 years at Allstate, serving in several executive positions at Allstate Financial Group, which encompassed Lincoln Benefit Life Co, American Heritage Life Co, Allstate Bank, Allstate Financial Distributors, LLC, Allstate Life and Institutional Markets. Leadership roles included President, Allstate Financial Distribution, Chief Financial Officer, Head of Operations and Technology, and CEO, Allstate Bank. He also served as Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Distribution for FBL Financial Group for several years.
 
Kevin is a certified public accountant. He earned a Masters of Management at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He currently serves as a National Board Member, Executive Committee, of the Children’s Heart Foundation, the country's leading organization solely dedicated to funding congenital heart defect research.

John Anderson

President
John joined Trustmark in 1990 and over the last three decades has held leadership roles of increasing responsibility across many areas of the enterprise, including its insurance and third-party benefit administration businesses. In 2018, John was promoted to Executive Vice President. He led Trustmark Voluntary Benefits for six-plus years. In 2024, he was promoted to the role of Trustmark’s President.

John earned a B.A. in mathematics from North Park University. He is a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and serves on the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management Board of Directors.

Phil Goss

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Phil joined Trustmark in 2008 as Vice President, Finance, was named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2010 and was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2021.
 
Prior to Trustmark, Phil was Vice President, Client Reporting and Informatics at Health Care Services Corporation, the Blue Cross Blue Shield licensee for Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
 
Phil serves on the Finance Committee of the United Way of Lake County, Illinois. He earned his bachelor of science in accounting from Bryant University and his MBA at the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Dan Busiel

Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer
Dan joined Trustmark in 2019 as Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. Dan brings extensive investment strategy and portfolio management experience gathered at companies including Allstate and Aon. Prior to that he was a member of J.P. Morgan’s capital markets team (initially First Chicago) where he held several sales, trading and quantitative research roles.
 
Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Lawrence University and a Master of Management in finance and marketing from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the American Council of Life Insurers’ (ACLI) Investment Committee. He is a member of the Lawrence University Investment Committee that manages the institution’s endowment.

Dan Hanke

Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Dan joined Trustmark in 2015 as Vice President, Infrastructure and Operations. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Rockwell Automation, where he served as Director of Global Infrastructure. Dan also worked as a consultant, advising Fortune 500 companies on strategic planning, process design and global infrastructure implementation.
 
At Trustmark, Dan has successfully focused on operational excellence, streamlining and modernizing infrastructure to enhance productivity and service delivery. He has established and managed relationships with leading external vendor partners, and delivered on multi-year projects that facilitate ongoing improvements in cybersecurity, technology and business resiliency and more.
 
Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Dan Hanke

Paul Lotharius

Senior Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development
Paul joined Trustmark in 2002 as a Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for Trustmark Health Benefits, and was named President of that business in 2007. Paul joined HealthFitness as President and CEO when it was acquired by Trustmark in 2010. In 2020, he was named Senior Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development, with responsibility for corporate growth initiatives.

Prior to Trustmark, Paul was a Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer in Conseco’s Retirement Services Division. He earned a B.S. in computer science from Purdue University and an MBA from Butler University.

Sean McManamy

Senior Vice President, President, HealthFitness
Sean joined Trustmark in 2005 as part of the Government Relations team. Prior to being named President of HealthFitness, he held key leadership roles across Trustmark, including as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, for HealthFitness, where he led strategy and product development, and as President, Trustmark Small Business Benefits.

Before joining Trustmark, Sean served as Assistant Vice President, State Government Affairs, for the American Insurance Association. Sean holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Marquette University.

Kathleen Sweitzer

Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Kathleen joined Trustmark in 2022 as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. She leads Trustmark’s legal, compliance and government affairs functions.  Kathleen’s legal career of more than 25 years includes leadership roles at Maestro Health, where she served as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary; at Aon, where she was Associate General Counsel, Health Solutions; and Tressler, LLP, where she was a partner and built and served as co-chair of the firm’s ERISA/Life and Health Practice Group.
 
Sweitzer earned her law degree from California Western School of Law and her BS in business administration, with honors, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is admitted to practice law in in Hawaii and Illinois.
 
She is a member of the Board of Directors and serves on the Executive Committee  for the Coordinated Advice and Referral Program for Legal Services (CARPLS), a non-profit organization that is Chicago’s largest provider of legal services to low- and moderate-income residents. She is also a past board member of the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law, an association to benefit the enhancement, recruitment, and promotion of women lawyers at law firms and corporations.

Randy Weinstock

Senior Vice President, President, Trustmark Small Business Benefits
Randy joined Trustmark in 2024, bringing more than 30 years of industry leadership experience. Most recently, he led Humana’s Employer Group line of business and before that, he was a VP, Actuarial and Underwriting. Earlier in his career, Weinstock held a series of roles of increasing responsibility at United Healthcare, including VP of Actuarial Pricing, VP of Key Accounts Underwriting, VP of Northeast Underwriting, and CFO, National Accounts.

Randy earned his B.S. in Actuarial Science, with a minor in Mathematics, from Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries.

Kristin Zelkowitz

Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer
Kristin joined Trustmark in 2013 as Vice President, Talent Management and was named Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer in 2015. Prior to Trustmark, Kristin was Director, Talent Management and Acquisition at Exelon Corporation. She has also served in various HR roles at Ameritech and Arthur Andersen & Company.
 
Kristin earned a bachelor of science in industrial/organizational psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and a master of labor and human resources (MLHR) at The Ohio State University.
