Trustmark CEO Kevin Slawin Joins United Way of Lake County Board of Directors

LAKE FOREST, ILL. — Kevin Slawin, President and CEO of Trustmark, a national employee benefits provider, will join the United Way of Lake County (UWLC) Board of Directors.

“Kevin’s leadership experience and his keen interest in innovation will be invaluable, especially in such turbulent times where agencies and organizations like United Way are shifting to best serve the needs of our communities,” said Kristi Long, President and CEO of UWLC. “We are delighted to have Kevin join the board.”
 
Trustmark’s commitment to UWLC goes back decades. In addition to its annual Trustmark Cares United Way associate campaign, Trustmark is a long-standing member of United Way’s Top 25 Corporate Contributors in Lake County, a sustaining sponsor of the Premier Leadership Event and one of the first corporate partners supporting last September’s launch of the 211 information and referral helpline.

Slawin said it’s especially meaningful to join the UWLC Board in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
“This has been a time of reflection for many people and it has reinforced the value of community,” he said. “In my lifetime, there probably has never been a more important time to give and help each other. Together, our collective impact can make a real difference.”
 
In addition to UWLC, Slawin serves as a National Board Member of the Children’s Heart Foundation, the country’s leading organization solely dedicated to funding congenital heart defect research.
