This is fast becoming the best type of Trustmark tradition.

For the fourth consecutive year, Trustmark earned recognition as a Chicago Tribune Top Workplace, signifying Trustmark as one of the best employers to work for in the greater Chicagoland area. Companies are selected based on results of an anonymous survey that measures drivers of an engaged culture; the survey is issued to Chicago-area associates.

“At Trustmark, we are proud of our caring and inclusive culture,” said Kevin Slawin, CEO. “It’s a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated team with a mission to help people increase wellbeing through better health and greater financial security.”

Of particular note, Trustmark’s overall engagement score increased as did confidence in the direction of the company.

“It’s fantastic to be recognized four years in a row, but it is particularly gratifying that our survey results demonstrate even higher overall engagement, and that associates have strong confidence in our strategic direction and exciting growth prospects,” Slawin said.

The top three words used to describe Trustmark’s culture were caring, flexible and inclusive.

Trustmark’s five highest-ranking survey areas were all well above benchmark, with the vast majority of associates indicating agreement with the following statements:

  • Trustmark operates by strong values
  • My manager cares about my concerns
  • Trustmark cares about diversity
  • My manager helps me learn and grow
  • I have the flexibility I need to balance my work and personal life
“Associates tell us that they believe in our values and find Trustmark to be a caring employer that offers opportunities for learning and growth,” said Kristin Zelkowitz, SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer. “We are proud of our strong associate value proposition and are always looking for ways to further enhance it to make Trustmark an even better place to build a career.”
