Helping Others – Even On Her Wedding Day

Melissa Hayden, a HealthFitness accountant, battles a rare genetic disorder with grace and a relentlessly positive attitude. She is a volunteer for a number of organizations including Dance Marathons that benefit The Children’s Miracle Network and Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago. In fact, she is such a dedicated volunteer that Melissa and her husband Matt even stopped by a Dance Marathon on their wedding day.

“I can’t ever repay the medical teams that have saved my life time and time again so I try to help other kids and families going through the hardest days of their lives,” she said. “It fills my bucket to the brim when I am able to help others.”
