CHICAGO – For the third consecutive year, Trustmark earned recognition as a Chicago Tribune Top Workplace, signifying Trustmark as one of the best places to work in Chicago. Companies are chosen based on results of an anonymous survey taken by Chicago-area associates. The survey measures drivers of an engaged culture.
“Trustmark is a special place to work,” said Kevin Slawin, President and CEO. “Each day, our associates live our caring and inclusive culture and work collaboratively to transform lives and help people, communities and businesses thrive.”
In the survey, associates are asked the three words that best describe Trustmark. By a significant margin, the three words that came to the forefront were caring, flexible and inclusive.
“It is gratifying to see associates use these words to describe our culture,” Slawin said.
Trustmark scored higher than the benchmark in a number of key areas. Some examples include operating by strong values, flexibility and work-life balance, and the way managers care about associates’ concerns.
Additionally, Trustmark received high marks from recent hires.
“I am so pleased that our newer hires believe their jobs have met and exceeded their expectations,” said Kristin Zelkowitz, SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer. “We will continue to prioritize the associate value proposition going forward and look for further enhancements to make Trustmark an even better and more rewarding place to build a career.”
